Hello to all,

Had a couple of vans in high school, but am now retired and thought it would be fun to get back into the scene. I just bought a 79 G20 and have a couple of specific questions. They are as follows:

1. What's the general rule on side pipes, basically 83" is squeezing it in there, or go 73"
2. Where can I find a good place to purchase bubble windows. I know eBay has some but just looking for more options

Glad to be talking to others who share the passion, any input would be great.

Welcome! You can possibly find the windows on facebook sites like van list and a couple of others. As far as the pipes, kind of depends on your wheel base.

Welcome to the site. Can't wait for the pics. I'd hit up Charlie99909 on the bubble windows.

Sidecar

Welcome to the forum

To give a little personal input (not advice) but look what is above the area that you want to put the side pipe length at, meaning window, door. It would be my personal input not to install/terminate the side exhaust under a window or a door where one can get out of the van and get burned by the exhaust (most side pipes have covers, but it's the exhaust either coming in the window when van is at idle or someone getting out of the van getting burned by the exhaust)

Best place to look for van parts would be here or E-bay and if you have a Facebook account then you may want to look at a van group. If you want stock replacement windows, check out

Best of luck and hope you stick around this site....
