Pics are good.
Hi SDMIcky, can email you the pictures and you could post them here for me, not smart enough to post them here my self, I AM A OLD VANNER, (smile) Sammy, TIM
I'm about two hours away from Sammy (Tim). Never met him, but if anyone is seriously interested in his van, I could see if he'd meet me halfway so I could look it over for the potential buyer. (I have a long story to tell about trusting a member here selling a van ).
Thanks Oldskool73 for posting the pictures for me, Sammy, Tim Maybe you could post your story on this website, about a member that did you wrong, might help save someone else from what ever happend to you, Thanks again for putting the pictures up for me.
Sorry for the lag. Work crazy. Sammy ; sorry for your loss.
The van looks nice and oldskool73; you're a solid guy. Man this looks great and "Not" a cali price. Of course being an 1986 and engine swap' no doubt a smog nightmare trying to get it registered out here. This so bums me out when I see a post 1975 knowing the CA Smog requirements.
It should sell quick. Nice work Sammy.

No problem Tim. I'm just trying to display the type of camaraderie that I used to enjoy in vanner circles and expected when I purchased a van from a member here. Let me know if you would like to meet up.
Not getting any response Maybe the price is too high, couple people from CA liked it but won't smog test there, Nobody has come to see it, Seen some vans in bad shape sell for what i was asking, So will do a price drop to $4000 see if that helps, then will move it over to eBay, where the price always go's up with all the fees they charge. For Sale $4000 Tim, Sammy
Sammy' I'm "The Worst" for social media and just down loaded the "Offer up" app on my smart phone. It will be another way of getting your van "out there".
Man I'm so sorry to hear about your wife. The van is really sweet. Definitely worth the asking price and I would not mind owning it but I'm not in the position for another full size van. We are looking for a 2gen Astro/safari . Try not to get to stressed about it not selling fast. Covid has hit a lot of us hard financially. I would like to post it up on our clubs instagram page to help spread the word and try to help you out. We have a FB too. If you are willing ? You can also email me additional pictures if you want.

SDMICKY, If your interested call me, Tim, Sammy
I went to meet Sammy (Tim) this afternoon. Nice guy, going through a rough time. His Chevy van is in nice shape. It has a few scratches here and there, but is a real solid rust-free van. Runs good. Only issues are a non-op radio and an A/C switch that needs to be replaced (Tim has the new part). A guy could fly in and drive this van home. In my opinion, this van is well worth the asking price. If no one here moves on this in the next couple of days, I'm probably going to buy it and possibly list it for sale at a higher price (Tim is aware of this). Otherwise Tim will be handing it to a buddy to sell on fleabay at an even higher price.
Better days ahead Tim, deepest sympathy for your loss. Hang in there. You did a really great job on your Chevy. Sounds like a super sweet smallblock. 4K is a smokin deal.
It should sell, I'm not the only one who's thinking wish they had the cash, Road trip!
I'd even sell my 86 Dodge to swing it.
Sorry for your loss and good luck selling it.
Thanks to everyone for the nice notes, Tim, Sammy

They'll probably be on his Instagram. Unfortunately, I'm not into Instagram.
I don't have any. Our schedules didn't match up so we were not able to meet. I do know he made it home safe. There are pictures on instagram. @already_gone_van
Glad a real vanner got Sammy's van.
Ditto
I have the exact same rims that are on that van available in new york in case anyone is interested in a set
The circumstances are a bummer; I spoke with Sammy earlier in week. Nice dude; such a bummer.
TommyBoombotz; looks great; can't wait to see your build. Good Luck.
Glad it stayed with a vanner. Nice van. Keep us posted with the build.
Ouch,...looks like I'm 8 days late to this post...
Stuff happens while you're sleeping. You missed a good deal.
Just a quick update, The van is doing well, resting at the end of my driveway, and currently undergoing some interior upgrades. I will post some pics later on this week.

Man, that is nice. I definitely moved too slow on that.
No doubt a Great Opportunity.
Just posted my rant about trusting a seller on this forum. The reason why I was willing to be an extra set of eyes on Sammy's van.
Just posted a Readers Ride Post, check it out if yer interested.
