Looking for the best '73-'77 chrome front bumper I can find that does not need Re-Chroming (already have one of those). Have cash or hard to find Chevy Van parts to trade. Thanks!
Place Mr Charlie on the case. Good man for the hunt.
I have no idea who Mr. Charlie is!
i recently came across an nos chrome one but would have to do some digging to find it again

In Fairfield CA at the local pick n pull.
OK now were getting somewhere BUT I see one pic and it's not showing the condition of bumper. If by posting this does that mean your for hire to "pick" it off, wrap and send to Washington St.? If so I need better picks of the hole bumper and your opinion of condition. Up for it?
That’s what I saw today. The bumper is about 40 minutes west of me, I stopped to see if there was anything worth grabbing for myself before I went and worked on my van. To me, the bumper looked great, driver quality.
If you want it, I’d need a deposit.
What year, make van are you working on?
Need anything for your van I may have?

do you want to talk more on the nos one?
Sure, That would be nice!
Its still in its original green rubber jacket from GM back in the 70s. i took some chrome polish to an exposed spot and its like new. i dont think 600 delivered from new york to washington is feasible though
I understand, just my luck my last piece of the puzzle has to be the furthest away! I would pay more if I could unload some of my extra sheet metal!
You should be glad you found one. i haven't seen one of these available in years even if at all
I am more than glad I am crying as we speak!
Here's a link to 4 pages of it

Thank you!
Just went a couple blocks up the road and found this '76 Motorhome, 67K miles, lots of really nice front interior parts & front sheet metal. Solid front bumper & nice Chrome (just dirty), they must have pushed on something "soft" as the bumper is pushed in ever so slightly around the license plate. Can have the hole vehicle for free, no paper work, been sitting for 35 years. Might grab it and see if I can use a press to pull out the pushed in bumper area.
Shame about the grill!
6 Big ones!
i will list it in a few places and if it doesnt sell i will get back to you
Thanks! Offer is good till I find one or a place to rechrome mine!
i dont know if you have any experience with rechomed bumpers but i do. its very expensive and the finish is very fragile.
All good points above!
Here's a rear Winnebago chrome bumper that was about 8' wide when I started to build it for a '34 Ford p/u. I cut it down in the middle to length you see, rounded the ends and curved them inward and boxed the back side of the ends. Welded up bolt holes that weren't needed, weld, grind, fill and do all over again till chromed plater was happy. The platers in my area are getting harder to find but will do a triple plating job or a cheap job depending on what you want.
I don't think you are out of line wanting more for your bumper I just don't know how much more you want!

i want $750 for it not including shipping
Shipping is the deal breaker, just puts the total cost to high. I will wait and see if I can submit the one above on the motor home into shape without popping chrome. Thanks!
Put it on a bus ... way cheaper than mailin it.
Sorry to say but Gray Hound abandon our area long ago...............
Greyhound 38 miles from you 1512 HWY 97 ELLENSBURG WA 98926
Well it's 54 miles over a mountain pass but very beautiful and doable.
Before I get real excited lets see pic's of the little jewel. You seem to know what you have but lets make sure it's not a '78 or up as they are different!
