1998 b1500 brake trouble - September 05th 2018 7:54 pm
I'm about to pull my hair out with this Dodge, completely new brake system except the prop valve. We can't find a new replacement and I only found one used no warranty $200. I'm sure I can use an after market adjustable unit for a fraction of the price but will it mess up my abs?
The rear line broke thanks to good old Pennsylvania rust. In turn the safety check ball won't reset, tried cracking front bleeders suddenly no luck, tried banging it like works on Chevy's, no luck. I read somewhere about using a pick or wire to manually push the ball back then gravity bleed the rear then when the system is full bleed as normal. Front breaks were excellent until prop was removed. I got tired of chasing problems and it's now been in the shop for going on two weeks. It's going to take months to pay off this bill.....
