Hello to all. I am a new member. I just bought a 2003 Chevy Express 2500 Access. I found and bought it in Los Angeles and then drove it to my home in Salt Lake City. It was quite the adventure to say the least full of mishaps. I intended it to be a two day road trip and it ended up being a 3 day trip! I will spare you the details. In the end, I am happy as a clam with my new car. I spent months looking for an Express with the Access package. Boy are used ones rare to find!

Now onto the good stuff. I am converting the van into something that I can live full time if I need to. So over the next year, I will be converting it into a camper van. To that end I gutted it down to the metal in the cargo area. I even had the metal divider taken out between the cabin and the cargo area. Now, I want to make the driver seat and passenger seat swivel so I can turn them around and create my "living room" so to speak when I am parked and not driving. To that end, are there really nice seats that I can purchase and replace the factory seats? Perhaps some cool RV seats?

I would really like to know your thoughts.

Cheers,
Keightley

Wait, the Access package is where the windows are replaced with remote opening doors right?
That's awesome!
Congratulations on your find!

Yep, love those vans. Congratulations on your purchase.

Look around the salvage yards. Lots of conversion vans with some very comfy seats.

I love this guys Pro-Access camper. I love it so much, I saved a bunch of photos of it. I hope the owner doesn't mind me sharing them here.

It is, isn't Rusty? That's why I saved those photos. Fantastic idea to use all those work access doors as windows, and then the way it's finished inside...very inviting place to spend time.
