Hi, I need some advice on removing the power steering pump on my 88 G30 Heavy Duty) 350 engine.

I’ve just been trying to get the belt off the Steering pump, I completely removed the adjuster bolt, but couldn’t get any movement on it. I could feel one other bolt higher up the pump behind the pulley, but could not locate the 3rd mounting bolt. There is no tensioner / idler pulley. This belt just goes round the crank, air pump & Steering pump.

Any advice would be great. Thanks

It pivots on the lower bolt maybe that is too tight or rusted up.

Welcome 99!

A good penetrating oil such as PB Blaster is your friend. As I age gracefully, my air tools are sure coming in handy as well. Good Wrenching across the Pond there eh!
