Today this vans are very rare. Some years ago there is much more old US-trucks in the streets, but wether, salt and recycling of iron makes his deal. But due to our counrty is wide, we have chance to make some new barn findes somewhere in the Siberia for example - outside of the big cities. Abnormal custom fee and stupid governmemt not permitt us to import here new vans from US or Europe.
yeah, a lot of people ask us about our cars, but most of them cant understand why we love it - fuel consumption, size, problems with construction and spares, absence of accomodation like ABS, A/C, power steering etc. That's all make his nervous - when they cant understand the become agressive. It's abnormal. I may tell a lot of stories about accidents with neighbors, homeless, police, lowlifs etc etc etc. Terrible.
Good to see all you vanners from Russia keep the pics coming. That is a very logo tell Igor I really like it.Good lookin' vans you guys have, great to see those Dodge vans, gotta love those Dodges!

It's just fun to do. Welcome to the site.
Weather was good, that's strange for the end of the season in our area this summer. We met together in the suburb, near Gulf of Finland. Two vans arrived from Moskow - one white shorty Chevy and one maxivan Ram Van. From St-Petersburg were red Timshan's Ram, Zenzibus, one white-blue color Chevy of our mate Sergey, who's the owner of this beautiful place near water, and the biggest and longest van in Russia. And our smallest transport - shorty Vitara)))
nice pictures and glad you had a good weather. I was in Dahme at the baltic-see in northern Germany for the 16th Van Roundup of the Northlight Vanners, and we had some heavy rain and cloudy weather with lot of wind. But overall it was better than to expect after the weather-forecast.
The white lowtop with the blue-stripes looks, as it was imported to Germany before coming to Russia. The German Van-importer AM VAN in Osnabrueck had to add german signal-lights to the front to get the vans licences, and he used the from old Opel models.
and update again! We have new dudes in our club - it's Yura and his G20 Sportvan'80
and Valera Sky with Dodge Sportman'77 (by the way I may said that this Mopar have manual transmission from Opel)) Valera will make this van original, be sure!
Andrey Zenzi got new shorty Chevy! Not in perfect condition, but nice '78 (i'm not sure, maybe it's '80? I dont remember) van. I comes from our club member Anton with longest in Russia custom G30. It's with 305 sbc & rebiulded TH350 - hope, it's run well.
Thanks for posting! I follow a few of you guys on Instagram, an I always enjoy seeing these classic American vans over there. Love that black Dodge, Dmitry. And congrats to Mr. Zenzi on his new ride! Will make a cool project.
Hey finally a club in Russia, I have a member in my club who has been just put on the inactive list who lives there. I will send him your link and guess he will be in contact with you. We are a multi state van club with members all over the USA and Europe.

Hi, Dear Friends! If you already follow us at originalvanners.ru or our Instgram you know all news.

Due to winter comes to Russia and warm season is finished, we decide to make "Season Closed Party" and invite all our frineds, who were with us all this year.
Of course, Andey Zenzi try to make his ride "driveable", but due to all amount of diffirent problems it's not happened.
Anyway we have new incomer - Tony with his fresh El Camino '76. Nice lookin' car, some works with engine already done and it's run perfect.
Unfortunately, our Big frined and car collector Slava El Kaka was absent, but he Borrow his fantastic 510hp MadCamino to Andrey Zenzi.
We started at parking near big city mall in St-Petersburg's suburban.
Again, we have another one newcomer - Oleg with Chevy G20'88.
We stay for 2 hours ant the parking, wait for our frinds form Moskow, meet with frindly Muscle Garage shop
and then our convoy starts
First stop in suburb, near Gul Of Finland. We want to say, that weather was perfect - sunny day, without rain as usual at this time of year.
We rest for a little, ride a little, skate a little, boiled our MadCamino and went for the BBQ at OVVC headquarter, placed among the forests near suburban village Repino.
Next day our friends from Moskow spent some days in St-Petersburg, visit some friends and trucks, who were absent and our meeting.
Great stuff. Love the t-shirts and hats. Do you guys sell on eBay or we could possibly maybe trade I have a few vintage American Nationals t-shirts, all size large though and I am an extra large. I have to 10th anniversary Nationals t-shirts and would be willing to trade if you would like or I could just purchase one of yours.
That's great! I bet those big American vans attract allot of attention in Russia.
I would love to have a UAZ 452 or a Barkas B1000. Not only do I have an attraction for full size American vans I also like quirky European cars.
My Trabant 601 attracts allot of attention here in East Tennessee, someone from Germany or Eastern Europe is always flagging me down to ask me about my car and why it's even here!
