Hi Vanners,

I have an 86 Dodge B250 Maxi and she needs her front suspension redone however I'm having NO LUCK trying to find a pitman arm for her. According to MOPAR, it's been discontinued and I can't locate the interchangeable part. I would greatly appreciate any information that would point me in the right direction. I've tried all of the major chain auto parts stores, the online go-tos like RockAuto & 1A Auto, as well as local pull-aparts. Can the existing pitman arm be refurbished or is there somewhere that custom makes them? Please help! My lady wants to get on the road but she needs help.

Do you have the part number for it. Junk yards would probably be your best luck looking for one. I imagine that pitman arm was used on many different models and makes of Dodge cars and trucks over a span of several years.

May I ask why you need a new pitman arm? They are not generally a part that needs to be replaced because they don't have a ball joint on the end of them like an idler arm would.

The idle arms are loosey goosey usually.

Nate, thinking the same, pitman arms are pretty tough, only time I seen them need replaced was damage due to a collision.
