Since I was adding photos to Flickr, I thought I would add some photos of the Brubaker box that I found, rescued, sold, and has since been restored and is on the road!

Scott (the dude that bought it from me) has done and AMAZING job on it. My dad lives near him and has been able to check the car out in person and sit in it. The last time my dad had seen it prior to that was when he was helping me dig decades of foliage from around it and inside it.

Here is the Album full of pics

Wow, unbelievable on the restore, more than most folks would probably want to take on, I did a quick search about the Brubaker, appears there wasn't many produced. Does the restorer also own the other one pictured, also does he own the Mid-Dodge. Cool pics, thanks for posting, very interesting.

The car needed much more work than I was going to be able to tackle, as I don't have the knowledge and we had a new baby in addition to the kids we already have. As I fielded the offers I was receiving, I would get a feel for each person asking about the car and kind of gauge how much passion they had towards doing the work. Scott had the drive to get this done and do the majority of the work himself. The fact that he lives near my parents and I have the ability to see the finished product sealed the deal. I made a friend in selling this car to him. I am not 100% sure if he still has the dodge, as I think he sold a Dodge to fund this build. I don't know if it was that one or not. I know he has the high top chevy though. I think its like an 82-84. He does own the Baja Box as well. It is a one of a kind that Automecca built for the Baja Races. I think the number of Boxes built total out at under 30. 3 by Curtis Brubaker and like 25 by Automecca. I believe less than 20 are still known to exist.
