Would like your input. I've been following auctions, etc to see what vans are selling for lately and I see the monster hair, long shag, crazy interiors are quite popular right now.

My son and I are building out a 79 GMC shorty specifically to sell and help pay for a cornea transplant surgery for his Mom, so we want to get it right.
If I knew how to do a poll, I would, but I don't, so I'm asking this way.

Our original plan was a partitioned bedroom with hardwood flooring in front, diamond stitch vinyl, curly maple wood accents, led lights, big sound system, invertor and 32inch flatscreen.

That's our conservative, clean lines thought. But maybe we should go old school boogie van, long hair, deep shag etc.

Any thoughts? I'm not sure what the demographic is on buyers of these vans.

Old school boogie vans are where it's at for sure, but sadly most folks these days seem to be more interested in paying $15,000+ for clapped out conversion vans with plywood interiors for the "van life" craze that's hitting so hard since Covid began. I'm having the hardest time even getting the people that paid for "the Green Hornet" boogie van survivor I'm selling to even come pick it up.

I think it's hard to say what will sell when you are building a van for someone you don't know what they will want out of it. Personally I am a old school boogie van kinda guy but I also need a certain amount of functionality in my van. And like many Vanners I have the built not bought mentality. Not to say I wouldn't buy a built van and add to it.

Kursed is right though. The van life camper van movement is big right now. In my personal opinion van lifers and Vanners are NOT the same. So its like a shot in the dark as to what to build just for resale.
