The crummy part is if I went, it would be two day's drive time and day one is through the barren NV desert and into Salt Lake City in the middle of summer. That's one heck of a stretch.
The way we travel (no interstates, short days, frequent breaks, etc.) I laid out our route and we could make it in 6 days. The cool thing is there are state parks along the way that are spaced about 200 to 250 miles apart with neat things to do and see. Taking an extra day or two would make the trip more fun and we'd be there in 8 to 10 days...... retirement is tough......
