1983 Chevy Van with a good times president conversion :

Texas Import
Carbed 305 Engine
Th700R4 Gearbox
Most likely low mileage (speedo says 49xxx but

I would say it's in very decent condition for it's age :
Completly original (exept roof spoiler)
Very little rust

Actually i only wanted to buy a S10 pick up ,but ended up buying the pick up and this g20 van (maybe another van )
The previous owner of these cars died last year and a friend of him had to sell these cars now.
The Van was standing in a corner and wasn't offered anywhere and it was sitting there ,dry, for over 10 Years .
So i've bought both yesterday and drove the van back home .

Can anyone tell my what the reason for the rear conversion was (i mean the seperated area in the trunk)?

I've did a little research about the company who converted them and it seems like they've good build quality and are meanwhile sought after .

Now i'm thinking about keeping it or selling it

Pros:
Nice conversion
Good overall condition
Very little rust
Everything electrical works

Cons
-305 Engine (zero power and around 9mpg at the highway 50-60mph )
My Astro tbi is a rocket against it
-Lowtop

So if i keep it ,it would get a modern engine and a hightop

My astro is finally finished and i wanted something bigger anyways in the long term
