Go to your local auto parts store or Chevy dealer and look up the part numbers for your vans stock spindles, and stock 1990 3/4 ton pickup spindles(since your van is 3/4 ton)...if its the same part number, well, then its the same part and drop spindles for that truck should work on the van. [ June 25, 2006, 04:45 PM: Message edited by: monsterbox ] | | | Re: Headers on Chevy G20 w/350 #85290 October 30th 2006 7:28 pm | Joined: Apr 2001 Posts: 1,097 old hand | old hand Joined: Apr 2001 Posts: 1,097 | just for FYI hooker headers fit the chevy van with just a slight tweak to the right collector to make it straight once it is bolted up. Other than that the install was a piece of cake.
As for the spindles I think the Bell Tec pick up truck spindles work on a van.
good luck Billy

Headers for a 1970-1981 Camaro will fit in a 78-up Chevy van perfectly. They also fit 71-77 Vans, but require slight modifications because of the shifter shaft in the engine tunnel. By contrast, I've been given headers to install that were made for a van and those needed quite a bit of tweaking to get them to fit. I don't understand why this is. That's the best $33.33 dollars I ever spent.

Haven't seen them listed in the Summit catalogs either. What sort of mods have to be done on the Camaro headers if they are to be used on a 72 van? If a G-20 had a 305 from the factory it would have a CAT.

Thnaks,Brad One or two of the tubes need to be dented to allow the shifter rod to pass. I had a set of Camaro headers on my 77, but it was a long time ago...... I don't remember it being a big deal though. RipperServing NYC/LI 347-303-7403 | | |
