I heard there are drop spindles for chevy van and anyone know who has it? I am wanting to drop the front end of my van since I am already working on the rear. I have a 1990 Chevy G-20 van
Thanks

Go to your local auto parts store or Chevy dealer and look up the part numbers for your vans stock spindles, and stock 1990 3/4 ton pickup spindles(since your van is 3/4 ton)...if its the same part number, well, then its the same part and drop spindles for that truck should work on the van.

just for FYI hooker headers fit the chevy van with just a slight tweak to the right collector to make it straight once it is bolted up. Other than that the install was a piece of cake.

As for the spindles I think the Bell Tec pick up truck spindles work on a van.

good luck Billy

Something I found out awhile back...

Headers for a 1970-1981 Camaro will fit in a 78-up Chevy van perfectly. They also fit 71-77 Vans, but require slight modifications because of the shifter shaft in the engine tunnel. By contrast, I've been given headers to install that were made for a van and those needed quite a bit of tweaking to get them to fit. I don't understand why this is.

The header fairy came this afternoon ( the UPS guy ) and low and behold he brought me a brand new never used set of Hooker Competion headers for my van. That's the best $33.33 dollars I ever spent.

Anyone have part numbers for any of these headers? Haven't seen them listed in the Summit catalogs either.
What sort of mods have to be done on the Camaro headers if they are to be used on a 72 van? Thnaks,Brad

As far as a CAT on the '78, if it's a G20 with a 350 no CAT was on it from the factory. If a G-20 had a 305 from the factory it would have a CAT.

One or two of the tubes need to be dented to allow the shifter rod to pass. I had a set of Camaro headers on my 77, but it was a long time ago...... I don't remember it being a big deal though.
