this is a 1983 dodge b250. PO said 36 k miles but i tjhink morre like 136k. could be more but very clean, no rust, or body damage. the pwoer windows work very erratic. i can go all month without working and then they will work perfect (until i turn the van off). no clicks from a relay(?) if there is one, cant find any indication of there being a relay. looking for ideas or a schematic/location of a possible relay. ive looked around under dash to no avail, no fuses blown
second, starting…most of the time it starts first turn, but on occasion it will go thru a cycle of start/stop for 5-10 min. no matter if im holding it to the floor or pumping the gas (until flooded then no start). recently ive been driving every day ( it has sit for a couple years) so while idling at stop light or foot off throttle it will die (engine warm, etc) stqrts right up again but…. I have changed plugs, wires, vac lines, fuel filter
third is streering. …seems very loose. it does have a set ($) of very wide tires/rims but… so i did the tierods, drag links, did an alignment. checked the rag joint (seems ok) movement at the steering wheel moves the lower(into the box) 1 to 1 even movement at the steering coupler seems (seems) to be as it should be. just something to put up with? i dont remember it like this on my ʻ88.

any help folks is appreciatted. I did look thru for similar but found nothing (other than loose steering)
frank

Hey Frankie, Power windows, switch, the 34 year old wiring, ground? Try opening the door, see if a wire broken in the door harness?

No-start. Bad condenser or broken or shorted wire in the distributor, (or bad condenser hidden, taped into a wiring harness somewhere?)

Does it have a ballast resistor in the ignition circuit? (Old Dodge thing,) a small white ceramic bar with wires attached at each end. Used to carry them in the Company truck. Mounted on the firewall in the Dodge trucks. The truck will catch on the start key and fire up, but as soon as the ignition key returns to the Run position, the engine will die.

Fuel filter/crap in the tank, lines, carb? Fuel pump?
Is it a Chrysler Lean Burn Emissions carb?

I'm going to guess? 318! / TF! Bonus if a 360 or a Slant 6 with a stick!
