Hey Zen, Looking towards the future, a great many of us older guys are stuck with one foot to the gas/go pedal. See Copy and paste.

And!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMTnBLnqqjY

So. Tonight was the first night that, freezing cold, windy in the morning, great working weather! Then warm afternoon and dusk. Stars coming out. Warm. Oh yeah. Get soome!

If'n I had my druthers, $4X the G30 of course, but if $$$, and new? An E 3 or 450 Cab and chassis, then sent off to the secret location that converts a $$ 4x4 Cab and chassis, into an E-van. Looks factory, but with a flare out on each side, like a TransVan. but all metal. looks nice. Baddass.

This is probably Blasphemy, However, before its too late, 2024 before it's too late, the above Ford with whatever V-8 is in the E-450!!
You can still build a V-8 Ford E-Van. Butcha better hurry...

We met a young guy driving a '65 flatwindow Chevy 90 Van, down from LA for the Mission Bay Van gathering. He lived out of that. Minimalist. Van living gets you in shape. It's a different kind of keeping house, and it's always an adventure because it's like camping out all the time. V8 Covered Wagons are pretty good $$ vs fun / practicality / efficiency. You cannot beat Class B 1 ton single rear wheel vans with a stick. You can stand up inside, and it fits in a parking space. Ford, Dodge, or Chevy.

The self contained full size 1 ton units from the big 3 and certain quality conversion / van camper Class B sigle wheel, or even the bigger Xplorer dual rear wheel units, that are guality are IMO, for what the cost is, not bad duty. At all. Plus the especially Chevy V8's Plus that ability to convert these GM units to 4x4. is beyond outstanding.

Even today The G van 2.0, GMT. Savannah Express platform with the LS engines with the one ton units 8 lug HD 6.0 V8's even available today, are still Monsters, compared when compared to the horsepower back in the day, where with only 250 2bbl ponies from a 327 SBC, through a sm465 granny manual transmission, don't blow a shift, you could roast 12x15 Winston tires on 12x15 inch Jackman wheels, toasty (from El Cajon!) In second for ah quite a while, '70 Chevy C10 Shorty for the shocked

Not with the 8 foot Cabover Camper on it though... cheers
