My 1980 e150 has no dash lights. I replaced the headlight switch, checked all bulbs in the instrument cluster that were bad, removed and cleaned the fuse panel contacts and still have no dash lights. Im wondering if the resistor thats on the backside of the instrument cluster is bad and if so where are these available and how do you remove the old one from the wire harness laminate that ford uses?

Dude. Lakeside? El Cajon Auto Electric. My old neighbor in Santee. Hooked me up, fixed the bad OD wiring mess at the transmission in the Cabin Cruiser.

Tell the owner, who lives up on Trenchard St, that Bill the Van guy from next door sent you.

If they can't help, try Escondido Auto Electric, See my posts about coming down 78 into Escondido with my S10 cluster on fire!! They flat out fixed me up with a new cluster in a day.

Good luck.

Welcome! and Van on!!

Theres the guy on greenfield thats pretty good. Im just trying to do all the work myself. This is just one of the many things I need to fix. Ive looked at the pick a part places in CV and Oside but instrument panels and tilt columns go fast.

I don't usually go looking at Ford Evans @ Wrenchapart, laugh but when I do...
Trip to Vantee, comin' up. cheers

Also. I've seen some strange electrical component's taped into a Nissan harness, a bad $7.00 condenser sent a '95 3.0 V6 Maxima to the auction. A little positive Rusty Karma car sale action afterwards. Thanks Rusty!! grin

Died on me on the way home from the auction. AAA for the win. lol

IDK anything much about E Fords. They are comfy to drive. I like the V10. The OG widebody Econolines. 302. Ford's workhorse SBF.

Again, good luck with that electrical gremlin. I'll see what's online in Lubbock on Wrenchapart for '80ish Evans.

Van on!

PS, Belton Tx has a 1984, and a 1978 Econoline
