Well started on the interior a couple weeks ago after taking a "break" from working on the van from last winter until recently. Short history is the van was purchased new in 1991 and "modified" for use as a paddy wagon, I bought it a couple years ago. Attached photos will show how the inside cargo looked when purchased and how it looks today after I removed the "containment" system that was installed. . Did all the mechanical work first then it went into the body & paint shop for a couple months last fall, got it back completed re-installing all the outside trim & bumpers, lights, grill, etc.... So I painted the floor with POR 15 then installed the Dynamat then the 3/4" plywood over that to give me a flat floor to be able to move my stool around for installing the Dynamat on the ceiling & walls. Installing Dynamat in the doors is next along with the wheel well humps. Plan is to use 1/8" Luan cut for each panel section on the walls & ceiling that will be covered in vinyl to make it easier to install. The side wall ribs are only 1 1/8" wide so I am going to attached a 1x2 piece of pine to one side of each wall rib to give me a good fastening strip on each side of the side ribs (don't know how else to explain it). Luan will also be used for the panels on the cargo area side and rear doors. Will add replies with more photos as I get things done.

Recently purchased (10-2021) a 1991 Chevy G-20 “Shorty”. Past vans are a 1976 Chevy G-10 (purchased new in 1976 & sold in 1995). A 1978 Chevy G-20 Shorty purchased in 2010 and sold in 2015.
