Really have been disappointed with the 225 michelins that came on my van, so I finally got a bit of extra cash to buy some Real meat for the ol van . Picked these up for a decent price over on Fleabay . Ordered yesterday and they where at my house this morning before 10 AM .. Just took em and had em mounted up. Looks alot better IMO . I plan on doing some Camping and traveling in the old girl so I needed something with some bite. Last pic is when I first got it, It had brand new Michelins on it when I bought it so I had to kinda wait till they were about done.

Most of my life had BFG's . Do Michelins now. On my 74' G10 have BFG's. Down the road will do some MT's like I had back in the " good ol' days". My goal is to make my current 74' Shorty a clone of my 1st

I just couldn't bring myself to pay 1,000 to 1300 bucks for a set of tires for BFGs and Generals. these are Thunderer Ranger ATr's and where HALF the price of Normal Name brand tires. Took em on a 140 mile round trip the other day and half that was towing back a 98 intrigue I bought to fix and flip . Have to say I was really impressed, Very low road noise hell my exhaust is louder than the tires..lol

My uncle recently acquired this G30 and the Michelin got to go. Time for new brake pads as well so we have to do things at the same time.Got to finish the installation of the new rotors and dually wheels on the F350 before we can clear the garage and take her in. I'll mention the BFG's to him.
Opinions vary.... I run Michelin LTX on both vans. Been running them for years and multiple sets. 45 psi on the G1500 and 50 psi on the G20. They may not ride so smoothly but I really like the solid feel.
Well couldn't take the tire noise on my 4 1/2 hour commute to go down to the coast to work for the week so I pulled the trigger on a set of load range E General Grabber HTS60's , little under a grand with free balance and rotation. White letters make everything faster .... ride is much improved.
