Nice. Bet that set you back.

Good quality paint and body work is not cheap by any means anymore. It usually comes down to three choices..
1. Do your own
2. Have the work done at a “regular” collision shop
3. Spend a little more and have it done right at a custom shop
It all comes down to a matter of where one’s priorities are I guess and how deep the pocket book is…..me, I pretty much been doing my own mechanical & electrical work so saved a lot there. Just not a body or paint guy and too old to start now…LOL.This van is pretty much my last “build” so wanted to get it right. it’s pretty much a lost art and getting harder to find a shop that does it right. Still have the interior to do yet but it’s getting there.

We are all have the right to one’s opinion……That’s one of the things that makes this country great….


That color is sick!!!

BVRPLZR saying the color is "Sick" means it as a compliment, not Sick as in gross.

The color is a stock 2020 Cadillac color Deep Garnet. First saw it on a 66 Chevy pick-up truck at a show early summer of last year. When I first saw it the truck was parked in the shade and it looked black but after the sun came out I walked by it again and the deep purple pearl really “popped”. The only thing I asked the painter to do was make it a bit darker assuming he would just add a bit of black to the base color coat but he explained it would be better to lay down a base coat of black first which he did and it came out perfect……one coat of the black, three of the color coats and 4 coats of clear…..
