Never seen the Edelbrock in person. I've seen my brother set up and tune a few holley snipers. Works well when running. Anything "self tuning" is just using a wide band and AFR target and making adjustments. Most decent aftermarket ECU's can run closed loop and do this, but definitely go with what your tuner is most comfortable tuning and you are comfortable running and paying for lol. Usually get the best results.

I know this is an older post, but I just scored a complete, never used Proflow 4 SBC system in the Summit Racing Bargain cave at 1/2 the cost that I am installing on a modified L31 Vortec 350 that is replacing a gutless 6.0L LS engine in my 87 G20. Very nice looking setup. Hopefully it runs as good as it looks. It is a full sequential, self learning system with wideband closed loop and uses a smart phone or tablet for setup and minor adjustments. It controls both fuel delivery and timing advance. It supports forced induction as well. At the end of the day it was worth the $1200 for the manifold, fuel rail, throttle body, sensors and injectors. If I end up hating the edelbrock EFI controller, I will wire a P59 LS computer up to it and run it on a 2005 Mexican GMT800 350 based tune.
