after putting the new engine in i have had a not dramatic, but noticeable vibration at around 1600-2,000 rpm

im just taking a guess there as i dont have a tach right now, at idle there is no vibration, and when i get up to highway speeds 60 mph and up it goes away, it is most noticeable at about 45mph

The engine is a 360, with 727 trans, i know the vibration is coming from the engine because it will do it in park or neutral by revving the engine.

I have the right harmonic balancer on it, brand new from summit, and the right torque converter, out of the 727 trans that the motor was originally hooked up to.
the only thing that i can think of, is that fan, it just a fan that i found laying around in my backyard. i know its from a dodge, but not sure of model/engine it came off of> could this give me a vibration? Its not a clutch fan, Or is there something i could be missing here?

This is the fan, the blades seem to not be spaced evenly, witch is leading me to think it could be causing it.

Thanks in advance for any help!

The stock 318 and 360 setup with the fan clutch has the funky lopsided fans. If it's In good shape with no bent blades, it should be fine. I agree with Catfish to run the motor without the fan.

I know it might sound silly but... Verify that plug wires 5 and 7 are correct. I've seen it before with those two switched the engine will idle and run fine until the RPMs get high enough then weird things start showing up.

I also had a bad distributor in a 78 Fury that would cause a shutter/vibration but ONLY when warmed up and going easy down the road. Heavy acceleration or deceleration, no problem.
