On the left side there is no way to fasten the left lower corner. Kind of baffled by that. I am missing the center brace that goes to the back end of the radio which would help the situation, but surely there is something missing from the left side. Looking for suggestions on what is missing or what I need to do. | | | Re: No way to fasten left side of radio | Joined: Dec 2022 Posts: 21 Likes: 2 stranger | OP stranger Joined: Dec 2022 Posts: 21 Likes: 2 | Went to pick and pull and found a bracket off a different radio, but grabbed it to try. The thing I was concerned with was this bracket ran under the radio and mine is supposed to run over the top. When I bolted it up to my radio it appeared to be made for it with a clearance slot for a screw and all. Upon sliding the radio in I found an issue as it was 10 mm too long. I thought about straightening it out and refabricating the end only shorter. I didn't think a spacer would be ideal, but I found a spacer from when I worked for a Can Am motorcycle shop that was exactly 10mm and a large diameter. Got a longer bolt out of the bin and I think I am good to go. Still like to come up with something for the left lower corner. Exploring options. | | | Re: No way to fasten left side of radio | Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 18,286 Likes: 558 | Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 18,286 Likes: 558 | mine was broke also ...
