I never liked the plate that bolts in the middle of the throttle body and has the stud for the air cleaner hold down in it. To me it just blocked airflow to the engine which is HP. I bought a 5" bolt that was 1/4" and the right thread and started measuring and bending the bolt to replace the plate assy. with a single piece of all thread as I cut the head of the bolt off. When I got done I cut about another inch off to make it the right length. i knew the original was about 4" long, but with the bends and such it would take up some length so I used the 5" bolt to be safe on the length. I know it won't really make a whole lot of difference, but I will know that the flow is maximized for less than a dollar. Cheap and easy HP.
