Hey everybody-

Just here to introduce myself and my van. My name is Tina and I picked up this ‘82 E-150 recently. I got it from a guy in Salem who did a decent amount of work (gullwing, flares, ports). I’m sitting here waiting for some new wheels and tires to get installed, so I figured it’d be a good time to start this thread. I hope to address some issues ASAP, so follow along if you’d like to see the build or offer any tips along the way!

First issue I need to address is the amount of water leaking. The rain has started in Portland and now I get to see where its all coming into the van. I don’t think the dude installed the porthole windows very well, because water is leaking in there. The conversion window on the drivers side also leaks. I believe there are multiple areas of concern. This morning when I went into the van there was a ton of condensation on the roof. Since there is a vent, multiple windows, and old weatherstripping, I have a good amount of work ahead of me.

Does anybody know the best place to find door seals for these vans? Also, any recommendations for the window leaks? Any specific type of silicone?

Nice van. I've had good luck with door weather stripping from these guys - https://metrommp.com/seals/

NICE looking van.
I would remove the aftermarket windows and re-seal them with a butyl tape. Same with roof vent. Silicone caulking doesn't hold up over time. After you address the issues, get it inside a garage with some heat, open it up and let it dry out or you'll start growing mold real quick in OR ( I lived in WA).

Welcome . Good hunting Tina; nice looking van. Definitely take care of your leaks 1st then start going the rabbit hole. It's a never ending addiction.
