'75, inside the doors is a rod the goes from the interior door handle to the latching mechanism. There is a plastic piece of some sort that is supposed to lock that rod in pivot arm on the latch to release/open the door. Does anyone make that plastic piece? Or, the alternate question... what's the work around solution?
You can find an assortment of those at your local parts store,,,sometimes in the "HELP' section. They are sold in a bag or small box, with a couple of different sizes and applications.
Looks like Van's Auto has repro... I'll check to see what. might find on the 'odd parts carousel' at the local parts store, but at least I know of one source.
