Edit -- so I thought (wrongly) that Ford had somehow been making seat bases with dimensionally different floor mount bolt holes. The basic 'box' and swivel seat bases, do in fact, use the same floor mount hole dimensions . The only difference is the mounting dimensions (on top) for the bucket seats (narrower) vs. the high back/reclining/armrest seats (wider).

We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

I've got 3rd Gen swivels that I'm using in the 82 Chevy, and also have the 79 E150 "the Green Hornet" that I just sold sitting in the driveway with high back stationary seats.

I can grab measurements off of either or both if you want.

If it's not too much of a hassle!

Never a hassle when I can help, hope this does help a little.

So the seats and bases in my 1982 G10 are actually 3rd Gen Econoline captains, but not sure exactly what year they came out of, because I found them in the back of another Chevy in the junkyard. Bolt holes center to center are as follows:

8" front to back
10" side to side

The 1979 E150 I just sold has the same high back seats with fixed bases which measure as follows:

9 3/8" front to back
9 3/4" side to side.

I've also added the pic with red arrows to illustrate that the bolt holes in the swivel bases are staggered or offset. The one hole sets a good inch or more farther rearward than the one across from it.

When you measured those green seat bases - are those the floor mount hole dimensions or the seat-to-base (top of bases) mount dimensions?

All the measurements I got were base to floor. I can get base to seat measurements if you want, but those should be exactly the same as both sets of seats are the same.

Edit - see my first post up top.

Also, those swivel bases kursed posted are aftermarket....the factory ones have a shiny Ford sticker by the lever and plastic covers for the bases.
