The basic 'box' and swivel seat bases, do in fact, use the same floor mount hole dimensions . The only difference is the mounting dimensions (on top) for the bucket seats (narrower) vs. the high back/reclining/armrest seats (wider).
We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

I can grab measurements off of either or both if you want. | | | Re: Seat bases mystery | Joined: Aug 2017 Posts: 1,061 Likes: 47 old hand | OP old hand Joined: Aug 2017 Posts: 1,061 Likes: 47 | If it's not too much of a hassle! | | | Re: Seat bases mystery | Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 2,290 Likes: 137 veteran | veteran Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 2,290 Likes: 137 | | | | Re: Seat bases mystery | Joined: Aug 2017 Posts: 1,061 Likes: 47 old hand | OP old hand Joined: Aug 2017 Posts: 1,061 Likes: 47 | The 1979 E150 I just sold has the same high back seats with fixed bases which measure as follows:
9 3/8" front to back 9 3/4" side to side. When you measured those green seat bases - are those the floor mount hole dimensions or the seat-to-base (top of bases) mount dimensions? | | | Re: Seat bases mystery | Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 2,290 Likes: 137 veteran | veteran Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 2,290 Likes: 137 | The 1979 E150 I just sold has the same high back seats with fixed bases which measure as follows:

All the measurements I got were base to floor. I can get base to seat measurements if you want, but those should be exactly the same as both sets of seats are the same. | | | Re: Seat bases mystery | Joined: Aug 2017 Posts: 1,061 Likes: 47 old hand | OP old hand Joined: Aug 2017 Posts: 1,061 Likes: 47 | Edit - see my first post up top.
Also, those swivel bases kursed posted are aftermarket....the factory ones have a shiny Ford sticker by the lever and plastic covers for the bases.
