It's an El Dorado disability conversion and is fairly plain jane with the basic options such as A/C (front and rear), power windows / locks and cruise control. It's only got 53,400 miles (bought in October with 51,800 on it). It has the 3.4 litre with the THM 4T65E Transmission.
I've done a few things to such as front brakes, replaced the lines to the rear air ride, replaced the transmission / engine mounts and flushed the old coolant out and refilled with new Dex Cool.
It runs great so far, I will say I love the mixed (mountain and some highway) fuel economy of 17 MPG. | | | Re: Bought a 2004 Chevy Venture | Joined: Aug 2002 Posts: 17,940 Likes: 103 Supreme Master | Supreme Master Joined: Aug 2002 Posts: 17,940 Likes: 103 | ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](http://i.imgur.com/juWbW5e.jpg) Arianrhod:2003 Chevy Astro Black Magic: 1985 Dodge B-250 Serenity:1985 Chevy G-20 The Outcast:1983 Ford club wagon Luna 1974 VW bay window transporter Freedom:1990 Ford E-150(parts van) Outcast Vanners van club Support your local 2% | | | Re: Bought a 2004 Chevy Venture | Joined: Nov 2013 Posts: 3,692 Likes: 32 pooh-bah | pooh-bah Joined: Nov 2013 Posts: 3,692 Likes: 32 | We have an '04 Venture. She's rusty and worn out now, but has been a great and faithful family servant. Several long road trips...Disney, Route 66, etc. I know FWDs are popular with lots of folks, but I just love the van. | | | Re: Bought a 2004 Chevy Venture | Joined: Nov 2013 Posts: 3,692 Likes: 32 pooh-bah | pooh-bah Joined: Nov 2013 Posts: 3,692 Likes: 32 | Here on Route 66 near Odell, IL in 2010. | | | Re: Bought a 2004 Chevy Venture | Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 102 Likes: 1 member | OP member Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 102 Likes: 1 | | | | Re: Bought a 2004 Chevy Venture | Joined: Aug 2002 Posts: 17,940 Likes: 103 Supreme Master | Supreme Master Joined: Aug 2002 Posts: 17,940 Likes: 103 | Very cool. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](http://i.imgur.com/juWbW5e.jpg) Arianrhod:2003 Chevy Astro Black Magic: 1985 Dodge B-250 Serenity:1985 Chevy G-20 The Outcast:1983 Ford club wagon Luna 1974 VW bay window transporter Freedom:1990 Ford E-150(parts van) Outcast Vanners van club Support your local 2% | | | Re: Bought a 2004 Chevy Venture | Joined: Nov 2013 Posts: 3,692 Likes: 32 pooh-bah | pooh-bah Joined: Nov 2013 Posts: 3,692 Likes: 32 | Nice. They are great little vans. | | | Re: Bought a 2004 Chevy Venture | Joined: Apr 2021 Posts: 195 Likes: 21 member | member Joined: Apr 2021 Posts: 195 Likes: 21 | Around here these have already mostly rusted to junk. I thought about buying one from a state surplus auction but for that.

Nice driving little vans. just keep an eye on that temp gauge as the 3.4 is notorious for blown head gaskets (Warped head?) and the system needing to be 'bled'. I did a head gasket job on one of mine and it sucked. | | |
