WASSSSUPPP, my first van was a 86' econo that I converted into a tour van for the band I used to play in and unfortunately the dude I sold it to crashed it into a ditch and totaled it! But I got addicted to vans and been on the lookout for something unique at a good price. Now I got myself this Dodge 88 B250 Shorty that really needs a lot of work, been looking for a lot of replacement parts (front grille/headlight assembly's, ect ect) and could use some advice with the build. Hoping to convert this into a weekend camper, I don't know jack sh*t about these Dodge vans so all the advice I can get would be great. Currently in San Diego
Welcome! That's a decent looking shorty. What engine do you have? I have not found any place to buy new body/interior parts, except carpet kits. Best place that I have found is the pull-it-yourself junk yards like Pic-N-Pull or LKQ. Next is Hollander Parts. Rock Auto has good prices on new suspension and drivetrain. A factory service manual is helpful, it shows everything from how rebuild the transmission to re-keying the locks.

its a V8 5.2L engine. So far I haven't had any real mechanical issues, did a full tune up when I got it to be safe and sure enough it passed smog before the tune up. Got some rust issues I need to work on, was thinking of getting some boat epoxy to plug to leaks then give it a new paint job, do you have any experience with that? Also I tried to the pick and pull junkyard down in chula vista and its trash, they tried charging me the price that they found on google for junkyard parts
I don't have any experience with plugging leaks with boat epoxy. Only advise I can give is to get rid of any rust before you put epoxy on the area. The LKQ Chula Vista West has '86 that might have some decent parts. Some later model parts can be used also, like door hinges. https://www.lkqpickyourpart.com/locations/LKQ_Pick_Your_Part_-_Chula_Vista_(West)-283/recents/?search=dodge
