Going to either paint or vinyl wrap my dash and doghouse. Any experience is greatly appreciated.

Vinyl was $3000-$4000 quote, that is what it costs to get bodywork and paint on mine.

I've heard the average life span of a wrap is 5 years on average. I decided to paint my dash and doghouse

Did you tape up the windshield etc. or take the dash out? I’m going to paint mine soon.

I don’t know if a wrap would work on a vinyl covered dash….usually not smooth enough. Painting interior parts (dash parts, door panels, dog houses, etc…) is pretty easy. Have done it twice now (getting ready to do it a third time on the 91 Chevy recently purchased) using SEM vinyl paint products. Has come out very nice and very durable but I am very careful how I take care of my classic car’s and trucks…..no pets or children allowed inside. If you decide to go with the SEM product line (not sure what else is out there) follow the instructions very carefully and do not be in a hurry and the results will be excellent.
Good luck

Recently purchased (10-2021) a 1991 Chevy G-20 “Shorty”. Past vans are a 1976 Chevy G-10 (purchased new in 1976 & sold in 1995). A 1978 Chevy G-20 Shorty purchased in 2010 and sold in 2015.
