My van is 530hp/530 tq and I want to terrorize the streets....but I probably won't make it far with the stock 8.25" Locally there's a built A body 8.75" - I'll have to get different rear wheels, which is okay but has anyone tried this or heard of it? Thanks | | | Re: A-body 8.75" in dodge van? | Joined: Sep 2019 Posts: 1,510 Likes: 172 Master Yard Rat | Master Yard Rat Joined: Sep 2019 Posts: 1,510 Likes: 172 | I know it is sacrilege, but have you thought about putting a Ford 9" from an F100 or E200 behind your van? The 9" is bullet proof and the bolt pattern is the large pattern. Unless that A body rear end is a 5x4".
You hear the thunder of stampeding rhinos, elephants and tacky tigers This town ain't big enough for the both of us And it ain't me who's gonna leave

Spring perches have to be moved and shock mounts flipped but any rear end shop should be able to do that. I'm only running a 318 but wanted the suregrip for those sweet burnouts. | | | Re: A-body 8.75" in dodge van? | Joined: Jul 2019 Posts: 5 stranger | OP stranger Joined: Jul 2019 Posts: 5 | I picked up a suregrip dana 30 (9 1/4) from a 76 ramcharger. Thanks for the tip but with a tiny ring gear and the level of power I have I doubt it would last long Does anyone know if d100 axles are the same width as van? | | | Re: A-body 8.75" in dodge van? | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 4,463 Likes: 12 pooh-bah | pooh-bah Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 4,463 Likes: 12 | Dodge B-series vans were commonly available with the Chrysler 9-1/4" rear end, which is pretty rugged. It was even available in a heavy-duty version, which is what's under my '81 B-250 maxivan.

Then they had a few different rears offered. Good luck with your search.
