I’ve searched the threads and haven’t found exactly what I need so I’m gonna try here. The plastic slider peace that runs along the top rail, you know the one that always breaks and are supper hard to find, yeah that one. What is it’s name? Any one got one laying around? Even if I can get its dimensions to try and get one 3D printed, carve it out of wood or something. It’s really holding up progress. Thanks for taking the time. | | | Re: Sliding thingamagig | Joined: Aug 2019 Posts: 29 newbie | newbie Joined: Aug 2019 Posts: 29 | You mean the plastic roller? Remove it and try a Grainger or hardware store and find a substitute you can use or modify. Good luck. | | | Re: Sliding thingamagig | Joined: Dec 2017 Posts: 494 Likes: 21 addict | addict Joined: Dec 2017 Posts: 494 Likes: 21 | GM part # 356023: https://www.ebay.com/itm/334093754773Not sure why the listing says it's for a Camaro, Chevelle and Nova, but that's the right part. Alternately, you can replace it with one of these: Nylon Pulley U Groove Track Roller Bearing, (5x24x7mm) Then, when you get tired enough of futzing around with a sliding door that will likely always be problematic, you can throw the whole mess into the trash and gullwing it. | | | Re: Sliding thingamagig | Joined: Oct 2021 Posts: 5 stranger | OP stranger Joined: Oct 2021 Posts: 5 | Sorry should of clarified so mines missing it was missing when I bought the van. But thanks for the links I actually though about gullwinging it but don’t think it would match the vibe I’m going for | | |
