Now it start right up but stalls quickly. Have been trying multiple things but with no success..
Any ideas Chevy Fans?

Double check all your vacuum lines and make sure they're all connected. I'd double and triple check the battery cables, too. | | | Re: 1995 G20 4.3 V6 | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 3,455 Likes: 23 pooh-bah | OP pooh-bah Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 3,455 Likes: 23 | Battery cable have been checked as well as all vacuum lines, dried everything. Check coil, distributor and possible security issues. Seems to be a signal shutting off the engine / gas. Was in storage for a few years so I was just rincing off some dust etc. under the hood and then shut if off and have had this problem since. Low miles on this thing so with some new tires I thought I was ready to go!

The computer will bypass the the oil pressure signal for a few seconds on start-up but if it doesn't see a reading after that it will shut off the fuel pump relay. Worth a shot, you may have gotten the connections wet/etc when you cleaned it. My2% | 1 member likes this:

The fuel pump will run for a few seconds when you first turn the key on to pressurize the system during cranking, but then it needs to see some oil pressure to come back on, that explains the easy start then quick shutdown. I'd check the connections you can reach or see, especially the ones that got squirted with the hose, both visually & with a wiggle. Maybe take your leaf blower to it, if its moisture related it might dry out. Check/troubleshoot the fuel pump relay operation and connector, also the oil pressure sending unit wiring. I hope it's easy and cheap. | | | Re: 1995 G20 4.3 V6 | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 3,455 Likes: 23 pooh-bah | OP pooh-bah Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 3,455 Likes: 23 | Well after a bunch of work it was the Fuel Pump! Running like a kitten now. Another question is this have a real thin black plastic hose which goes nowhere and is coiled up by the heater under the left side of hood. Doesn't seem to causing any issues but trying to figure out where it is supposed to go?
Also the extra fuse box behind the drivers seat is making some humming nose? The interior lights work sometimes and others not so I will be pulling this to see what is going on. Any thoughts from someone who has had a similar issue?
Thanks
