I picked up a 1974 B100 a couple weeks ago. The slant six was thrashed so I swapped in a 318 LA block out of an early, has the stock intake and 2-barrel carb. I’m trying to work through the throttle linkage now.
Does anyone have pictures of a stock throttle linkage configuration in a 70-78 /w a 318 and 2 barrel?
This is from my 70, 71, & 72 manual. Nothing changed dramatically over the entire production run, so if you find parts from a van in a salvage yard, you can probably whip it into shape with little fuss.
There was a change in design in the kickdown linkage in the late 70s, which added a bracket with a stabilizer link. If you need that, I've added a picture of it from my 81 manual.

You got it Homebrew! Please remember to post a few pictures of what you put together.
When you get the kickdown linkage set up, there's a simple adjustment procedure to adjust it properly, described in the service manual. Do you have it? I'll dig it up for you if you need it.

It seems all the "old" vans in junk yards near me have long been crush and shipped to china.
I was really excited when the 1978 edition of the 1974-75-76-77 dodge Truck Light Duty Models parts catalog arrived today.
Its great, except they forgot to list the part numbers for #12 & #13.
7 - PT# 3827067 - Rod to Accellerator ( I might have) 2 - PT# 2268367 - End of above rod (I might have)
10 - PT# 3418900 - Stud to carb (need) 11 - PT# 2961589 - ROD 318 engine (need)
12 - the bracket, which looks right has a tag PT 3820652, but looks like it's missing the articulating arm that rides on the shaft of the bracket allowing the rods to connect. ? 13 - is the lever attached to the gas peddle. (need)

You're getting there Homebrew - it's looking great!
BTW, don't hesitate to use washers as shims on the various bits of linkage to reduce slop & lost motion, and get them to run straight, so they won't become cocked and bind.
I had to bend that front spring mount quite a lot towards the centerline of the engine on my 1981 to get the throttle return spring to run in a straight line. That improved the consistency of my carburetors return to curb idle.
It's not described as an adjustment in the FSM, but the threaded rod end/heim joint/universal joints on the linkage rods are used to set the carburetor throttle plate to wide open when the accelerator pedal is fully floored.
I got fed up with the sloppy cheap stock joints and found suitable small stainless steel rod ends at McMaster Carr.
If the carb doesn't return crisply to curb idle when you lift your foot from the accelerator pedal, be sure to lubricate the bearing (#5 in your diagram) on the accelerator linkage shaft passing through the firewall. You can also add a 2nd throttle return spring, which typically is a smaller diameter spring which runs through the center of the larger diameter throttle return spring like you already have. I had to add one. I found a perfect fit at Ace Hardware.
