94 gmc vandura keeps blowing the blower motor fuse. I've replaced the relay and resistor. After doing that it worked for maybe a week. Being that it's not a daily driver it only gets used every other day or so.

My question is is there another switch or something of the sort that is common to go out in these vans that I'm missing? Or is it best to just start chasing wires?

My guess would be a wire rubbed bare somewhere causing a short to blow the fuse.

Was afraid of that. It's so intermittent I was hoping for a simpler solution. I'll get started looking. Thank you.

The fan switch needs to be checked first. They can overheat and short between speeds. If nothing else you should rule it out before chasing wires.

I will start there. Seems like they have it at the parts store. I'll pick one up tomorrow. Have a question about my doors should I make another post?

Might be better to start a new door thread.

If the switch got too hot the plug could be melted/toasted.

Sounds good. I'll get started on it after work. Planning on changing out the thermostat and radiator hoses this weekend as well. Thanks for the help.
