So we did a 9 day road trip in our '87 G20. The wife our 2 young girls, and the doggie. As early millennials, we love these older vans. From Southern California, to Yousemite, through Donners Pass, to Idaho, to Montana, to Wyoming, to Utah, Arizona, Nevada. Some nights sleeping at truck stops. Some dispersed camping. Some hotels, camping in the national parks. Stayed in Yosemite 2 days and Yellowstone 3 days. Saw the Grand Tetons. We would drive for hours between 80 and 85. Van did great. I would gas up at 1/2 tank with 20 gallons... about $90. We had a great time seeing everything. The kids loved every bit of the trip. At rest areas, people would walk by the van and check it out. Sometimes even starting a conversation about the van. Either way, great road trip. Our young girls got to see life outside of technology.

That's great. We just did 2 camping trips of 3 - 5 days in our '93 chevy van and it was very fun. These vans are very versatile if set up right. I took the 2 middle captain's chairs out and we folded the back bench down to "bed mode" and it was great. Beats sleeping in a tent and it does double duty as a bear box so they can't find your food. ha!
