Time investment was about 8 hours of work total. The buffer can really make your hands buzzy, and prepare to have residue of yellow paint on everything - you, your clothes, your tools etc etc. I will post more photos as progress is made.

While waiting on the spindles to come back from the machine shop, I started to restore the dog house and do some detail work. It was then that I noticed that the threads on the floor hold down bolts for the dog house where heavily oxidized. I was able to re-thread one side but the other pulled out of the floor completely as the floor had rusted through.
I hand made a replacement floor piece and mig welded it in with a nut welded to the bottom for the hold down bolt. A little bondo to smooth out the holes and we are bolted down securely.
