Curious to know which one of these sending units work for a factory 1978 Chevy G10 350? I'm putting the factory gauge cluster back in and don't think the aftermarket one will work.

Probably the one on the left with the little nub style connector, but I have seen plenty where the previous owners had clipped the factory connector off and replaced it with the spade style connector for the one on the right. Best bet is to physically verify which connector your wire has and go from there, just in case someone has changed it at some point.

Probably the spade one. When these go to CCC or TBI they actually use two sensors, one in the intake, one in the head, and the nub one I remember being in the head on one of my Suburbans. The intake one is just for the gauge.

So I replaced the sending unit and the one they gave me at the auto parts store is threaded? The guy told me its the same as the two listed above, but now the temp gauge rapidly moves all the way up to 260. I looked online and that style is listed as a switch? I'll probably just return it for the spade style tomorrow and hope it solves my problems.

Thanks, Cory
