I am looking for a 1992 G20 Chevrolet G20 van cruise control servo. I have a bad coil in my servo, thus the cruise control will not work. The local junk yard does not have one. Yes, I know the switch is good, I know the servo is getting 8 volts DC. Ohm'd the coil A to C and it's open (bad).

Let me know if you have one, willing to buy and pay shipping.

Thanks
Bob

92 electronic or vacuum?

They used the same thing across the board, it should be easy to find, lots of them on eBay because I debated about pulling a 95 electronic box from one here in a yard so I looked up to see if it would sell. It would but not for a lot of money.

Dont know how,to answer your question.

The servo has a vacuum hose 5/32 running to it along with a 3/8 hose (not 100% sure that one is vacuum)

There are also coils that use DC voltage.

I guess i would say combination. I could not find any online or on E-Bay.
I believe the part number is 25110961

Thanks
Bob

The later electronic one bolts on the radiator support. It's just a box with a wiring connection and throttle cable.

At this point in time I have sent my "cruise control servo GM part number 25074630" off to Rock Auto / Cardone to rebuild. I will keep you posted. On a "odd note" I called the GM dealer in my area and they found me a part, but the dealer waned $350 (they started at $500), no warranty! I told them I will have the part rebuilt first for less than 1/3 of their asking price. Good to know the dealer still has the part.

Thank you everyone.....

Bob

Doubt the part will be rebuilt and returned by van national, but keeping my fingers crossed.

Cool.
I hope they get you fixed up well.
I've never used their rebuild services, but they've treated me well in the past when I've need help with stuff that went sideways.

Update, wanted to let all of you know how have posted about this, that the local junkyard found a compatible part for me to try for $35. Going to install tonight and test. (Rock Auto still has my part to rebuild), but will let you all know. One step closer to bring on CC to van nationals.

Thank you all again! Look forward to meeting anyone at VN from this form....

Bob

A very special thanks to Catfish for his help. In my book there aren't many as knowledgeable as Catfish. Many many thanks!
