hey all! I've been lurking here for years but apparently never registered or posted.

I've owned Astros in the past, but just bought myself a '94 G20 Cargo last week. It's a former utility van and has some mods I'm still trying to understand, but runs great! I don't have grand plan for it yet, but gonna start with new wheels/tires & insulation/paneling/carpet and take it from there.

I will surely be coming here with many stupid questions - thanks in advance for your help.

Don't worry about not having a plan yet.
I bought mine in 2014 and don't have any real plan yet.


I painted the grille and the wheels, pulled out the aged custom interior, and pulled out the shelving it came with.
Other than that, I never really started the "build" I originally intended.

I'm sure you'll find all kinds of ways to enjoy it, and if you're like me, you'll use it for a lot more things than you originally thought you would.

Looks like it has the "hide the rust" two tone repaint on it. Fleet vans usually had decent maintenance.

I made my own interior panels for my 94, it turned out to be pretty easy. I almost went with all crushed velvet for it.

Welcome from San Diego. Nice start with a clean slate. Lots of good experience and ideas from this forum. ( Don't drink Rusty's Grape Kool-Aid )
