Hello - First time van owner; just bought this 1995 Chevy G20 Conversion high top - pics attached.
Been trying to research it a bit. Looks like was built in 95 by Kentron Motor Coach. It is their "VanTique" model. Can't find many (any?) references to this company, seems like they were only round for a few years. Their KMC logos on the headrests are strikingly similar to TMC. Originally sold by RK Chevrolet in Virginia, came to California around 2003.
All original on the inside. Working VCP and TV. Fold down rear bed with an extension piece. Progressive-brand rims. Power drivers seat, power locks, cruise. Mood lights. All curtains and blinds intact. Headliner, wall fabric and wood trim all in great shape. Had to fiddle with the map lights, the switches are a bit temperamental.
Known issues: I'm not getting hot air although A/C works great, needs some investigation. There's a stain on the third row seat where apparently a PO left a spare tire for potentially years. Not sure if I'll be able to get it out. Someone painted the grill black and it has some cracks. Thinking of replacing. Missing recliner handle on one seat, a replacement is on the way. Spare tire needs replacing and the spare wheel is looking a bit grungy. Thinking of getting a hard cover for it.
Perfect for taking the kids and parking at the beach, open the door and let them hang out in the van or play in sand. Going to take it camping in a few weeks.
