Just discovered this and it has resulted in me buying a bunch of stuff.

Rockauto seems to have some reasonable selections for our vans, this technique finds you the stuff for your van that is on sale.

-Go to Rockauto, configure your van, then select the right engine. The engine description has a little "RSS" icon next to it, click that
-A New page opens, in the the top right box it says "Love a bargain", next to that is a little blue icon that says "HTML"; click that.

Then you will find all the "Wholesaler Closeout Parts" for your vehicle.

I noticed
- some of them only have one item left. Kind of annoying for things that are best bought in pairs
-every time I put something in my cart the page changes, to my cart, and I had to start again. Kind of frustrating

Maybe that helps you guys out? Hope it does

Yep, I scored some good parts that way. Sometimes though you can’t get them in Ca because of Prop 65.

Prop 65 in CA, more or less, states that everything is recognized as giving you cancer. I ordered some king pins from Rock Auto, only ones that were in stock for my van and they were a close out at 9.95. Because they didn't have a Prop 65 disclosure from the manufacturer, they couldn't be shipped to CA. I had to have someone order them and have them shipped to AZ and then shipped to me. I still saved about $40 but that's just dumb.

That's CA for you. my pop moved to Nevada in 1982. One of the main reasons was all the regulations. He called California "The Sunshine Tax State "

Silly place that used to be where people wanted to go .
lol

Rock Auto is awesome.
They're the only way I'm able to get many parts for my '78 Ford Fiesta.
Some of them are NOS, too.
So there's the added bonus of getting vintage boxes and stuff.

I used to have a 1984 Fiesta, same body style as you 78 more or less. I have got some front suspension bits somewhere, unless I threw them out. You can have them for nothing if they are any use to you. Mine was a 1.6 Diesel, VERY smoky and it was the rust that killed it. Did pretty good MPG though.

I love Rock Auto. Sometimes I will order suspension bushings for the van and I'll get the name brand stuff even though it is supposed to be the economy brand. Perfect example, last month the bushings I ordered came in a Moog box despite being the no name brand.

Wow! What a nice gesture!
I don't know if I need them because I haven't gotten the car roadworthy yet, although it's getting close.
I've had it for about 4 years now, but it's never rolled on it's own wheels since I've had it.
It sat in a barn from 1986 to 2017, and when I got it, the tires were all flat and the brakes were all rusted and seized.
The brakes are all re-done now and it's got new tires on freshly painted wheels, but it's still up on the stands.
If you run across that stuff, let me know and we'll figure something out.
Thanks for the offer.

Yeah, I usually try to get Beck Arnley stuff because most of the time it's OEM leftovers.
Everything I ordered for my '85 MR-2 that was Beck Arnley turned out to be OEM from old stock.

On some parts, I think Moog IS the economy brand (quality wise, anyway).
I recently ordered a Moog lateral arm for a Subaru Forester and that thing looked like third shift made it on a Friday... during their favorite co-worker's retirement party.
lol
Our Moog branded stuff when I worked in flight simulation was top notch.

My son likes Rock Auto for the magnets they include with the orders.
smile
