Hello all,

Gotta get new tires for my g20 soon. Im currently running 225/75/15s. I definitely wanna get something bigger, it feels like its on bike tires with the standard size. Im looking at 265/75/15 and im happy with the size but im worried they may rub because of their width. Im sure there is enough space in the wheel well for them vertically and horizontally. I ordered 1" wide wheel adapters today as well thinking that may help. Anyone have the same size and or bigger? Thoughts opinions?

Thanks

I am running 255 70 15 on my stock 15*6.5 steel wheels without any issues. Not sure about the 265/75

255 70 on 7" wheels no problem for me.

I'm running 31 - 10.5 - 15 LTs on stock rally wheels like in roadrunners photo above. Only rub on tight turns when on irregular/rough back country roads. Goes down the highway nice and smooth.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! Definitely make me feel better. I have a buddy that has a shop and he said he will throw one on and give it a turn to see if there is any serious rubbing.

Spacers on the ft end is not a wise choice ... Get the right rims with correct offset.

265 will fit the back fine. The front, not sure.

My first van was a 95 1-ton, a beater with some rust. Rather than buy tires I took a set off a Suburban I had. They were a few sizes bigger and on turns they rubbed at the bottom of the front wheel opening, by the rocker panel. My solution then was to get a sawzall out and cut the bottom corner off about an inch back. But I don't remember what size tire they were.

Oh, this is a thread from 2019.
