In 2017 I paid $2800 for my '93 G20...virtually rust-free w/91,000 miles. Granted it's a high-top conversion.

I've got WAY more than that into it and probably won't sell....unless some Millennial/Gen Z wants to give me $20K LOL!

A lot of these folks have not spent much of their life dealing with vehicles or mechanical skills in general. Not crapping on them, it is what it is. But there are a ton of Gen Z folks getting into it and just plopping down ridiculous amounts of money on mediocre machinery. Heck, they're even buying them up at inflated prices and shipping them overseas as it seems Japan has shifted from the hot rod and chopper scene and into the retro-van market.

Just my 2 cents.

Based on what I see some of the goodies, like windows, going for on eBay I should have looked for them five years ago. lol. I really had no idea they were coming back, I just thought it would be fun to dress this one up since I expect to run it a long time.

I'm shocked at a lot of the prices I see. I try to keep the parts I sell reasonable based on what I pay and my time to pull them. I'll never sell straight garbage for a ridiculous price. But then there are those silly in demand parts like those van floor mats. I can't believe what some people pay for them.

The price of a van is only what you can get some one to pay.... throw out a large price and you might catch some one with more money than time.

I always let my parts go reasonable as I would like to see another vanner enjoy them.

I was browsing sold listings on ebay and somebody in North Carolina sold a van similar to mine; a plain work van 95 with only 23,000 miles, former police special unit vehicle, G10 instead of G20, six, no rust but a poor repaint, and a strange roof rack and bin with the spare up inside of it. It was bid to just over $8000 and I don't see a relist like the winner flaked. I guess I did okay with mine, even if you figure the little bit of rust cuts the value in half.

I watched that van on eBay sell. But I found this in marketplace......

I messaged about it and it seemed awful scammy to me
