I just scooped a 1969 E100 from my Dads friend. I have been hoping to get this for awhile and he finally sold me it. It's been In CA It's entire life, and is pretty much rust free. Im bringing it to the east coast for It's new home in Raleigh NC. I'm stoked, I plan on going full boogie with it! I'm really looking for a grill in nice shape. Not so easy to find! Anyone holdin?? I am planning on going to Heavy in the Holler next month, anyone else??
I am not, the van is in Mesa AZ. I am going to have to ship it, which is a pain! But it's better than me missing work and doing the drive. I need boogie pieces! What kinda stuff ya got? I am really wanting a grill in good shape. All I have seen a pretty roached
I have a decent ‘69 grille, she’s not perfect but is decent for a driver. Then I have a straight 71-74 Grille that needs a polish and a paint but she’s in great shape. Odds and ends parts mostly that I won’t need. Too bad you were in the LA area, I know several people locally with NOS fiberglass parts for the Econoline and another one who parts them out.
What’s your plan for it?
You hear the thunder of stampeding rhinos, elephants and tacky tigers This town ain't big enough for the both of us And it ain't me who's gonna leave
Damn, wish I was in LA also! Ha. My plans are, kinda in this order.... New grill, (doesn't have an aluminum one at all) I wanna put some cragers with big fattys in the back, I want it to have a nice rake to it, I really think I want side pipes. And I'm really leaning heavy on matchstick customs diamond bubble windows. That's all stuff I want to do quickly. I want a full boogie interior with a gnarly stereo hidden and full shag and velvet. I have a few friends that paint so I'm certain there will be some bitchin murals. It's a 6cyl with a 3spd, when that shits the bed I will wanna go with a V8 and 5spd. Not going to be a quick project!
