What's everyone's preferred method for accessing the inside of a side (slider) door to add insulation?

I know what materials I'm going to use but am thinking I'll just need to cut a giant hole on the inside of the door and weld or rivet sheet metal back in when I'm done.

Blow up dolls. They're easy to insert into the cavity of the door, then you just blow them up and TAADAA! Also hand for long cold nights on the road.

lol

Honestly haven't done any insulating yet, so I'm following along to see what everyone else says too, then I'll just copy y'all.

That's both hilarious and brilliant at the same time!
lol

I don't have a slider, but the previous owner stuffed fiberglass batting into every hole my van has.
I've heard that it collects moisture and causes rust, but that's not a problem I'm having.
It insulates pretty well, both sound and temperature, but I hate the idea of that scratchy stuff coming loose and floating around in the air.
I've taken a lot of it out, but it's hard to pull that stuff out through those little holes once it's been stuffed in there.

Yeah, I'm not using any fiberglass anywhere. I was planning on using a layer of foam board against the inside of the door skin, then using sealed plastic bags filled with jute scraps to fill the rest of the space.

I've been leaning toward the foam board as well, but that plastic bag & jute idea sounds freaking cool.

I have a ton of it left over from when I did my carpet because the local place I got it from was liquidating some inventory and gave me double what I actually needed for the same price.
