Weather app said 79* yesterday, and 75* today, but in reality it was about 87* both days. UGH! Grabbed the plastic for the A pillars and under the visors. Both visor mounting plastics were busted pretty bad, and a lot of the plastic for the rear was busted up. I did remove the plastic that goes between the passenger front door and the barn doors, but forgot and left it sitting in the van. The van I snatched these out of was a house painters van, and the majority of the interior was absolutely trashed with paint cans, tools, etc. Someone busted the center out of the dash which was otherwise perfect, such a shame. Grabbed the one good driver side check strap for the rear doors, other was missing. Two inside door handles, and one inside window crank handle. Also grabbed some brown windlace since mine is currently blue, but I'm switching to brown based interior. Grabbed two map lights out of a conversion van, started to grab the other two, but I woke up a few hornets and decided that was all I was pulling out of that one for today. Also scored a "Night Ranger: Greatest Hits" cassette in minty condition. Never heard them before, so it was worth a shot I suppose. I'll be going back to grab the plastic I forgot and a few more little odds and ends soon. | 1 member likes this:

Well apparently I had heard them, as I just listened to a few songs on YouTube, but all these years I never knew who they were when they came on the radio. "Sister Christian" I've probably heard a million times over the years, as well as "When You Close Your Eyes" and "Don't Tell Me You Love Me". In the 80's I was more into Ratt, Def Leopard, and Motley Crue as far as rock goes. I was also big into the Fat Boys, LL Cool J, Ziggy & Bob Marley, and Peter Tosh. Then all the typical 80's radio pop & new age of course. | | | Re: Some Junkyard Finds | Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 6,256 Likes: 164 Master Metal Sculptor | Master Metal Sculptor Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 6,256 Likes: 164 | Great score! He's 85 now but knew Brad Gillis when he was a kid in Rubicon. He used to do coke with them all!

My other go-to yard has all the gold hard to find parts, but he stays so busy he hasn't been able to inventory any of the things I need to get there. | | | Re: Some Junkyard Finds | Joined: Sep 2019 Posts: 1,510 Likes: 172 Master Yard Rat | Master Yard Rat Joined: Sep 2019 Posts: 1,510 Likes: 172 |
