Awesome work so far man, and I didn't realize they had any with removable armrests either, but every single junkyard Astro I've come across has the cracked arm rests just like mine.

I did find a thread a long time ago on the Astro forums where someone was selling fiberglass armrest caps that would cover them. I'd like to find that again and possibly order some for mine.

I use mine for a daily and I love it, but the mileage is painful, so while the wife has been deployed I've been using her 2014 Civic. BUT, her Civic is a turd and is now giving me problems too, so back to the Astro. UGH! I have an appointment to get the Civic in next week and will be setting up an appointment for the Astro soon.

I'm know I'm behind on my posting, but I have been busy with some "Honey do's". I do have some good news and some bad news. Vanessa died on me at a red light 2 days ago. Not sure what is wrong yet but I'm pretty sure its something simple. Not too worried about her. Missed out on the 2004 Safari donor van. But, now on to the good news! I found a 1997 Chevy Astro AWD. I have been wanting a donor van and this one popped up about 5 miles from my house. Don't want to go into with too many details yet, as she is semi-famous. I'm going to pay and get the title around 4 this afternoon. I will get pictures and post more details on the van tonight. I can't wait to get this beast in the driveway! Hope it fits in the carport, hint hint. I will also update with more on Vanessa's condition.

Just got this beast home! 18' wheels, 7 inch lift, rear air bags, custom roof rack, headers, 3 inch exhaust, too much to list! This thing is awesome! Introducing "The Disastro!"

No good news with Vanessa. Today I changed cap, rotor, coil, still not firing. Getting gas, getting power to the coil but nothing coming past that. "Borrowed" the crank sensor from Disastro, nothing. Tomorrow going to keep working on her. I pulled the radio out and a/c controls. Working on the trim piece for the new radio, tonight in the garage. Coming out nice. Taking pics and will post them in the next day or two.

Still having problems finding out why Vanessa will not start. So far, I have changed cap, rotor, ignition Module, coil, coil wire, crank sensor, and down to switching parts between the safari and astro. Getting fuel to the pressure check on motor. Useing a test light I see that when the key is on I'm getting power to both wires on the coil. Just cant seem to figure it out.
