Keep us posted. My van has a sort of two sided riser deal with electronics under the driver seat. I was looking at some different locking swivel brackets but I would have to relocate things unless could find a slim swivel and add it to the existing setup, and not really into RAISING the seat at all. I was thinking about only doing the passenger side for this reason. Are your front seat brackets the same in your van? I actually pitched my middle seats years ago and they were identical to the front captains chairs flexsteel I think. And if I remember I think they had plain flat pivoting brackets. I'm a moron. I should have just moved one to the front passenger position.. | | | Re: Swivel bases, locking or not? | Joined: Nov 2013 Posts: 2,286 Likes: 153 veteran | veteran Joined: Nov 2013 Posts: 2,286 Likes: 153 | I am looking to add swivel bases to the driver and passenger seats in my 1995 GMC conversion van. I was looking at the cheaper ones from Northern tool, but in my search I also found some basic swivels that do not have a locking feature that I could add some brackets to, to mount a seat that would also be much more cost effective. Just looking for other people’s opinions On non locking swivels? IDK. My computer is under the Drivers seat. Passenger would be OK, but charge at least $5 for a ride...

Want to try them out? | | | Re: Swivel bases, locking or not? | Joined: Mar 2020 Posts: 22 stranger | OP stranger Joined: Mar 2020 Posts: 22 | Thanks guys, my GMC van has the non swivel u shaped driver/passenger seat brackets. I also found some brand new driver/passenger seats out of a 2019 Mercedes sprinter. These will require fabing a wider base to mount, so I decided to order the northern tool swivel (locking, hahaha) mounted to factory mounts, then fab mounts to go from swivel to sprinter seats. | | |
