Kursed...you are very prophetic then.....because there is no vinyl on the door panels yet. Bare wood, ABS sheet, cheap plastic chrome strip, and the carpet on the bottom that will be used for the floor in the cab. Let me see if I can do a test "drape" and relay. Maybe you remember the vinyl from some other picture I posted once?

I was just referring to the vinyl you chose for the doghouse, I assumed you were going to use the same. ;)
No......I was keeping it dark both to match the seat inserts and also to preclude any dirt scuffs and marks with my (or passengers) ineptness. You are observant though!!!
Well OKAY.....I didn't make much progress the last few days, but today with the warm Santa Ana winds and some time on my hands, I pushed forward on a few things. As the first quote i got was $1250 to cut and bullnose my cabinet granite (W....T.....F), I looked elsewhere. The next shop said they wanted $450, but I thought I have my own masonry blade, so I figured hey....why not CUT the granite myself and then just get a shop to route and polish. So I bit the bullet, laid out guides, and started cutting. I really needed to be careful as I don't have a stone saw and table, and could definitely have broken the slab as I got to the end of the cuts, so I had to jury-rig supports. Regardless, it came out good, and now I am on the hunt for a shop to finish it up. I really like the intricate patterns of the stone, and it will look cool with the strip light on above it at night. I also inserted spring clips, and started the fairing process of radiusing my scallop on both upper and lower panels on the front doors. There is still plenty of work to do, but if it works then I will undergo the DRIVER'S side to replicate.
Man that granite looks SCHWEET! Door panels are coming along so nice too. Killer progress, but I'm anxious to see it done, so hurry up. (I say that as mine still sits idle in the driveway blockin my garage).
